I suffer from arthritis in my feet, and my right ankle has been in absolute agony the past couple of days. Yesterday I mentioned this to my mother and she said, “Of course it has - thats because its about to rain”.
And here it is raining.
Yikes! I feel like I should be in a nursing home, talking about my gout and my gall-bladder operation. “Well”, I’d say, “its gonna rain”
“How do you know?”, they’d ask.
“My rheumatiz is actin’ up”, I’d say.
“Yep”, one old feller would say, “an’ mah gout is givin’ me a time too.”
“An’ the scar from mah gall-bladder operation is itchin’” one old lady would say.
“Yep”, I’d say, “s’gonna rain.”
“Yep”, they’d say.
I have seen the future. And it involves complaining about the weather.
I do wish I had some of granny’s rheumatiz medicine. I guess I’ll have to wassailing if I want that.
Buy me a beer!
