Well it turns out I did get the heinous stomach flu, but my strange regenerative powers transformed it into something less heinous. This afternoon, I ran a fever for around two hours, and felt mildly queasy, then it went away.
I feel slightly dizzy right now, but thats from the margaritas I had while out with my mother and my sister. Long story. But I drank so it was fine.
I do intend to get an early night tonight, just in case there are any lingering germs. I’ll be well rested.
Oh and remind me to stay home the next time my runes tell me to stay home. Long story. But I drank so it was fine. And the bartender was cute in a sparkly, redneck, linedancing sort of way. And she put extra tequila into my margaritas. Can’t complain about that.
So, who has new year’s resolutions?

Mojo felt the way you did, but over several days. Me, I just imitated “The Witches of Eastwick” cherries scene over several hours.
Feel well, Che!
Yeah, I felt a little of the same today, so I expect i’m on the same flu wavelength as mojo. My worst symptom has been muscle-aches.
I’m glad I didn’t do the cherry scene.
We are in a hotel in North Carolina. The stomach flu finally caught up with Mojo. I think we’ll be spending the day here and going home tomorrow.
Happy New Year.
Auch! Bad time for a stomach flu.
Have a fine change-of-the-year all!
What are the cards saying on 2007 Che?
It is a bad time to get it but better in the hotel than in the car! And having had it myself I know there is no way we can travel. We would have been home by now otherwise.
As they used to say in the comic books “Sigh.”
Che my first New Year’s resolution is no more stomach flu!
True to its 24 hour nature, Mojo’s stomach flu is completely gone and we’re on our way again!
Only a day behind schedule.
Happy arbitrary calendar division!
Yeah, I’m glad to be over the stomach flu and back online. Given that I have no BlackBerry skills, it had been difficult to deal with having little access these past two weeks… add in many hours of driving and the stomach flu, and there was little to recommend our recent sojourn to the Southern climes. Except, of course, marvelous CHE!
Speaking of seeing Che, our unfortunately limited time with her resulted in my epiphany that I like restaurants better if they have no electricity. I realize that poses problems in the kitchen area, but maybe the Restaurant Assoc of America or something could recommend switching off all the blaring music and garish lighting for five freakin’ minutes! Ok, I’m getting on a soapbox, so I’ll quit while I’m ahead. Suffice it to say, that seeing Che was the highlight of our trip.
