…. its like this every year. Its not even April yet, and the air-conditioners are on. It was necessary. Us ladies were having the vapors.

Ah, vapors. Why doesn’t anyone get vapors anymore? And I’m not talking about the band who sang “I’m Turning Japanese”. I’m talking about that mysterious affliction brought on by tight corsets and southern heat.

I guess because no one wears tight corsets anymore. Unless you’re going to the goth club. Maybe some folks do get vapors.

Made mom a gambling charm to take gambling with her. Unluckiest woman on earth and damned if she didn’t win, first night she used it. And you’d think hoodoo would be in opposition somewhat to her baptist mentality, but like many southerners, she’s a good hypocrite. Willin’ to sin a bit if it means money.

What am I doing up this late? I have no idea. Couldn’t get to sleep, wanked, then had to pee, then felt wide awake so figured I’d log on for no other reason than I have no paper-type books to read right now, which are best for late at night. So I read the news instead. Its no good.

Now Bea has fallen asleep in my lap, purring loudly. Almost snoring. And Cleto has claimed the bed so I may not be getting back to sleep anytime soon. A beer would be great right now. I just don’t think I can bring myself to put Coors light in my mouth. I’d rather drink 4 day old horse piss.

If I had my druthers.

It might interest you to know that the usage of the word druthers goes back to 1895. I’m not sure why it would interest you to know that, but it might. Especially if you are R the P, who, like me, has a head full of the most useless knowledge on earth. But thats what makes us so gosh-darned interesting.

That, and all that ‘cid we used to do.

Well I’m being a blatherskite now. Blatherskite - there’s one for ye.

Into the blender: Coors Light and Global Warming. Serve in a tall glass. Its called a Coobalarming.

Buy me a beer!

    Coobalarming for everyone!

Back in New Jersey, away from Mississippi. All those people reading in the North of the US feel bad for my having to go to Mississippi and all those reading in the South US feel bad for my being in New Jersey. Those reading outside of the United States probably don’t care, or feel bad for my having to be in the US.

I read those cat haiku and I have to respond, but we are about to walk out the door. When we get back, though!

With the rise of global warming, I think we’ll see a rise in the vapors. Now that I am back in Mississippi it sure feels at least locally warmed!
