See what you miss, Che, when you don’t watch Lost?
Of course some of the rest of the show had some major misfires.
The Sayid romance was just boring, even if it did lead to his shirtlessness. And the woman he was “romancing” talked funny. Was that supposed to be German (Are you doing the accent? How are you?)
And how the hell was Sayid fat on the island but thin when he took off his shirt? Did they film the scenes months apart? Was it a result of the writer’s strike?
Charlotte and Miles are fast becoming the Jack and Kate of the “rescue” team. But nobody out Jack and Kates Jack and Kate. Did Jack really ask about the Red Socks?
And what’s up with Kate’s teeth? They look fake. Mojo was watching Lost with me (he hasn’t watched it in three years) and he brought up her teeth as well. Something definitely wrong there. At least there is a mystery involving Kate that has me slightly interested — the case of the mysterious choppers.
But, the boringness was worth it when J.J. Abrams got all Aliasy on us with the shoot out involving Sayid and his lady love. Any chance to revisit Alias, no matter how fleeting and tangential is worth it.
Not as good as the first two episodes of the season, but I’ll keep watching.

Yeah, what’s up with Kate’s teeth? Did she fall and knock them out in her zeal to keep up with Jack as he ran off in some bizarre direction doing something annoying?! Then, they had to hand carve her a replacement set from some old ivory they found on the island? Or did they fall out of the sky in some sort of time rift? Are they old piano keys, reshaped with a nail file?
Will Jack ever not have carefully manicured hair and beard, despite being on a hot, nasty island? What about the others (not just The Others, but all others)… why do all of them look carefully manicured while sweating bullets on this island with very few mod cons?! How many more characters will be introduced this season, 100, 500, one million?!
How can Sayid be fat, not fat in the same show? Is Sayid a shapshifter capable of gaining a stone for one scene, dropping it in the next? Fat Island Sayid attacks! But Thin City Sayid Seduces. Who will you see when Sayid walks into the room? Does he have a food allergy that makes his abdomen swell?!
When will the Lost mysteries end?!?!
I want to watch the version of Lost that Mojo is writing!
Okay, I would like to know when Sayid has ever been fat? I think I missed that episode.
Other than that, I think I’d go back to watching Lost if Mojo was writing it.
And if it weren’t on opposite supernatural.
Well, not so much fat — in fact, I’d kill to be as fat as he was on the show, but he was noticeably porkier on the Island than he was off the Island. Beer belly on the Island — none off the Island.
How does that happen?

Dunno… but I would like to give Lost a shot. I couldn’t fuck it up much more than the current writers have (oh no he DIDN’T!).
It’s not fair that they put two shows with some intrigue and action up against each other! Sucks.
I think Sayid was more average on the island and smokin fit back in reality. Not really fat vs. thin. But you know us gays… you’re either fat or fit. No middle ground! We’ve accepted that we’re in the former category.
And let’s get back to Kate’s teeth. let me just say that if they stay like that, I will not watch the show in High Def. Too off-putting… and weird.
You’ve almost got me wanting to watch it just to see what all this teeth business is about.
And to see how Sayid’s shaping up.
