Lost comes on tonight and I didn’t even talk about last week’s episode. So here’s some quick stuff about last week’s episode before tonight’s comes on.
YAY! Jack was almost non-existent!
YAY! Kate was almost non-existent!
That alone made for a really good episode. Let’s just let that sink in.
Ah, bliss.
I think it was pretty obvious that Jin was a flashback and that Sun was a flashforward. Especially since the pre-episode hype said, “Find out the fifth member of the Oceanic Six.” From that alone it seemed pretty obvious that Jin couldn’t have made it off the island if Sun did.
I also like those characters, so that made the episode more enjoyable. There is no doubt that Jin is pretty easy on the eyes. Sun is attractive as well, if you are, you know, into the ladies. And I like that someone finally said to inner ear girl “I don’t trust you.” Why should anyone trust Juliette? Makes no sense. But, since this is Lost, Sun immediately rescinded her distrust and listened to Juliette, taking her advice to stay with the group. But only after Juliette betrayed her confidence and nearly ruined Sun’s relationship with Jin. Wouldn’t be Lost if someone didn’t follow the advice of a person who had openly betrayed them at least half a dozen times.
Jin’s death, however, was a bit less expected. And it is always nice to see Hugo.
As to Michael’s dramatic unexpected reappearance — it would have been more dramatic and unexpected if Harold Perrineau’s name hadn’t been in the opening credits of every episode this season. Ever since Ben said that he had a person on a boat, I thought that it was probably Michael. Now, I will be surprised if Michael is not Ben’s plant, and there is another person who is.
Having said that, even though these surprises weren’t that surprising, I did enjoy the episode. Mojo would tell me to stop paying attention to the credits and the pre-episode hype so I could be surprised at the surprises.
But that is really hard to do.
Buy me a beer!

I agree with your observations. No jack. almost no kate.
Yay!
Jin and Sun are both easy on the eyes. Yep yep yep….
And Michael - not the biggest surprise. Even for me, the person who hasn’t been watching.
I noticed tonight that on April 24th, which is when Supernatural returns, Lost will be moving to 10 o’clock. You reckon maybe they lost some viewers to Supernatural?
Supernatural fans are extremely devoted, thats fer sher. I know I am. I have to be, to choose the boys over my beloved Sayid. But good-looking can be found anywhere, whereas good is harder to come by.
So, are we writing this weekend?
Good looking is so much easier to come by than good! That is for sure.
Yes. I won’t be able to write the whole weekend, but I am going to write some. Writergirl, Stefficus, and Che all had a writing weekend last weekeend (to various degrees of productivity!) but I had to miss it (stupid students’ papers!)
But I was so inspired by their dedication that I started writing and have been writing every day since then. I’m expanding on a short story that I wrote during Steff’s short story a day exercise during December.
Have to say I’m loving writing this week! Haven’t missed a day yet!
Lost seems pretty interesting this season. Especially now that I’m starting to figure out whats going on and who the hell those people are.
I’m ready to write. Ready I say. C’mon you peeps with the 3-day weekend. Lets go.
Now what about last week’s Lost?
I actually haven’t watched it yet. Soon as I do, I’ll comment
