The code said they couldn't show anyone hanging from a noose or committing suicide, so if you notice, you don't see the person, just a shadow, and you don't see a noose, just a bump near his neck, and his feet aren't even shown dangling, the head of Superbaby and the caption hide that fact. In spite of all that, you get the haunting image of Pa Kent hanging from the rafters. Brilliant really, given the censorship in place at the time. My favorite is Johnathan hanging from the ceiling.
