Been working this weekend on adding new stuff to the site. Some of its behind-the-scenes stuff just to help me organise, if thats possible, but other stuff is for my readers. (and surfers).

There’s a new directory thats been added. If you want more traffic to your site, why not add your URL. I’m going to be adding some of my favourite sites to it over the next few days, but I encourage people to submit their own URLs. Makes my job a lot easier. It is for spiritual, esoteric and paranormal themed sites and blogs  only. But hey, who’s to say we can’t stretch that definition ay?

I’m also working on putting together some more interactive stuff for readers. Its been slow going but hopefully soon I’ll have that up and running. I also hope to revamp the old Bulletin Board that used to serve this site and sort of got swallowed and forgotten. So a lot of things going on. I hope I can add some things the readers can enjoy or find helpful.

I’ll keep everyone posted on developments.

    Lookin’ good.

Soon, Noumenal.net will take over the world!!!

  2. che on September 25, 2006 11:48 am

Well I wish. Noumenal Net would make a far better anti-christ than George W.

  3. Mojo on September 25, 2006 2:22 pm

True, true. I always did wonder what you were going to do with those ten horns with ten crowns and seven heads. Who’s unsightly now, insolent humans?! Bow before your new Master, CHE the OVERLORD of EARTH!!!

Oh… uh, sorry about that. I got carried away with our plans to usurp the Dubya. Quite easy to do, really.

  4. che on September 25, 2006 2:33 pm

Yeah, easy to usurp. All you gotta do is tap him on the shoulder and say , “Hey look! A monkey! and is it evolving?!” That’ll distract’im for a while - he’ll get busy making laws against evolving.

Speaking of which, why is it that the political groups least likely to believe in biological darwinism, are the most likely to believe in social darwinism?

  5. Mojo on September 25, 2006 2:52 pm

Ha, good point. They don’t even take Darwinism the right way. They are looking at causality not as Darwin intended. He meant simply that the fittest survive. It’s ex post facto, not the other way round.

I have come to the conclusion that organized religion is about little more than power and control while triggering people’s fears, namely of loneliness and ‘not belonging’… and perhaps of the unknown. The nastiest predators on earth couldn’t have come up with a better system: When inculcation doesn’t work, use fear and ruthless efficiency (and perhaps a fanatical devotion to the Pope, but I didn’t want to go too obvious there… oh, too late).

The only solution is to run as fast and as far as possible from organized religion! I say we start a new religion but only a select group can join (of course, we will select the group). We will worship chocolate and it will be against my rights to interfere with my having chocolate at all times. Hail, Lord Chocolate!

Of course, I will be Pope, but you can be Pope too. RtP can be Pope as well. The Catholics did it, so why not? Three Popes, it is. My name will be Catherine de Cocoatree.

Ok, no more coffee for me…

  6. che on September 25, 2006 3:01 pm

Well I don’t know, the discordians have popes a’plenty, and I wouldn’t want to be accused of infringing on their intellectual property rights. Or anyones for that matter.

Not that I don’t infringe on intellectual property rights, I just wouldn’t want to be accused of it.

Anyway, Pope Leopold Zagnut. Thats me. I don’t particularly like the zagnut better than any other candy, but you gotta admit, its a good name for a pope.

And no, coffee is one of our sacred libation, or at least a nice mochacchino.

  7. Mojo on September 25, 2006 3:22 pm

Nothing worse than being accused of something whether you’ve done it or not. So annoying.

Pope Zagnut does have a certain je ne sais quoi to it. Maybe RtP could be Pope KitKat. It doesn’t have the same ring as Zagnut, but it is unforgettable. At least Zagnut does have the disclaimer right in the name. Perhaps Pope Nutter Butter is a good name, too. But he would have to bring his own chocolate.

Mmmmmm…. mochaccino latté…. Let the sacred libation be imbibed forthwith! Double dark chocolate shavings on top, please.

  8. Mojo on September 25, 2006 3:26 pm

Perhaps a mochaccino needs to go into the recipe collection? Maybe a Binding Mochaccino or a Sacred Mochaccino of the Three Popes?

  9. Richard the Previous on September 25, 2006 10:40 pm

Ah! I get to be pope. I get to fulfill my lifelong ambition to be pope without the pesky triviality of having to convert to Catholicism. Or purporting to give up sex.

Pope Marathon Bar? Pope Baby Ruth? Popey Ruth? Pope Bit-o-honey? Pope York of the Peppermint Patties? Pope Curly Wurly? Pope Sugar Mama it is!

When there are two popes, one becomes an anti-pope (quick question, what happens when a pope and anti-pope collide? Can they exist at the same space or do they give off a massive amount of energy), but when you have three popes, then it is party time.

  10. che on September 25, 2006 10:49 pm

Why is it that the only pope with a vagina is also the only pope with a male name?

Yes, we’re starring in that long awaited sequel to Three Men and a Baby; its called, Three Popes and a Party.

And we get to wear those cool robes and funky hats and carry a one of those crooks like Mary and her Little Lamb. Or King David. He was a shepherd.

    And gay.

See, I know my bible. Thats why I’m pope. Shall we piss off muslims like that other pope? Frankly I think we need to set our sights higher. Three popes can piss off three times as many religions. Lets start with the catholics!

Maybe Mojo is right. Maybe I need to cut down on the caffeine too.

  11. Richard the Previous on September 25, 2006 11:01 pm

I like Pope Martin. Who the hell wants to be named Pope Martin (and there were only two of them, Pope Martin IV and Pope Martin V. Sigh. Silly catholics)? I love the fact that the current pope used to be a Hitler Youth. It seems fitting. He could almost be a Borgia pope! We need more popes who like to be their own pope! No more Pope Umpteenth the googilionth, like Pope John XXIII or even the other John XXIII. We need to go back to popes who aren’t afraid of stupid names no other pope would ever want, like Vigilius, Zosmius, Eutychian, Simplicius, or my favorite, Pope Hilarius — oh, sorry, my bad, I meant Pope Hilarus.

Che, did I mention that you shouldn’t get RtP started on Popes. This man knows much about popes, especially for a non-religous type.

I suggest Pope Hundred Thousand Dollar Bar (What a Crunchy Chewy Bar You Are) III.

Now that it’s morning I need some more caffeine, which I will likely regret later.

  14. che on September 26, 2006 11:49 am

Oh, $100K bars are great. Mmmmm… Chocolate (which is what we say in our religion instead of “Amen”

Richard has a lot of obscure and useless knowledge crammed into his brain, which is why I like him so much. As a Gemini, I am drawn to obscure and useless knowledge, like the moth to the Zagnut. But unlike me, RtheP also seems to have some useful knowledge. Like human psychology, which we will use in our bid to take over the world, one bag of M&Ms at a time.

I, on the other hand, have only my weird obscure and useless knowledge, my stigmata, and my cool pope hat.

    Its time for caffeine.

  15. che on September 26, 2006 11:50 am

And thank you for being my “new stuff” tester, Mojo.

  16. Mojo on September 27, 2006 9:44 am

    $100K bars are delicious! I miss them…

    MMMMMMM Chocolate…

I like useless knowledge. How else will we differentiate ourselves from the legions of soccer moms and dads and other dreadful types?

Glad to help out on the testing. Keep up the good work, St. Zagnut.
