I’ve always used my mother’s recipe for pecan pie, which is very different from this one. Now that I’ve found this among the family recipes, I’m dying to try it.

1 unbaked pie crust (use your favorite pie crust recipe)

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 cup white corn syrup

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 cup sugar

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

Beat together all ingredients except pecans, then stir in pecan meat. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook 30 to 40 minutes until filling is firm.
