A reputation never hurts when you’re a witch (or other sort of magick worker). Or so we’re led to believe in Terry Pratchett’s books about witches. Having a Reputation is a main component of witchcraft, Headology.

Yep, thats it precisely. “Better watch out or she’ll put the root on ya”, has often been said of me in these parts, usually by folks who know little about root-work, which can be a very beneficent practice (though some rootworkers practice more malefic work). But you know, I don’t mind having a bit of a reputation.

Ah, when I moved to the Low Country in SC, that explains why I used to hear the expression “Watch out or she’ll put the Root on you”. Well, it explains it a little bit.

Ganesh, moving obstacles. That seems clear enough. Literally.

Well Ganesh is the beloved remover of obstacles. I just get the feeling he’s removing more than obstacles in my life. We’ll see what happens with a more violent, bloody lwa in charge. And the Root? Root work is a kind of folk-magic predominant in the south, similar to voodoo in its sycretic nature but with different basic elements forming the syncretism.

Che, the good news is that I can see the image again! Uh, well, that’s about all I have to offer there, but that’s something, right?

Not sure I know much about Ganesh, but leave it to Cleto to break a dreamed of statuette. He like to keep you on your toes.

I’m looking for good omens now… I’ll need a few, soon, but overall I can’t complain. I don’t know much about anything, it seems, so I don’t get the Root thing, but it sounds like it is a good idea to keep your focus on protections right now.
