Bea and I are both under the weather today. She’s grouchy and listless, though it hasn’t kept her from eating like the pig she is. I won’t describe my own symptoms, lemme just say that body fluids are involved, and not the fun ones.

And the weather isn’t great weather to be under. Its been rainy and ugly today, not a good refreshing kind of rain, but the drizzly, nasty, grey kind. A winter rain, in other words.

I’ve done a lot of writing today, between trips to the bathroom. My mind isn’t at its sharpest, but at least I can get some plot developed, right? Other than that, blech. So let me just leave you with the following picture of Rick Santorum and family, at his concession speech. Is that scary or what? Whats with the demon-possessed boy on the right? I’m thinking that picture was taken right before his head started spinning.

Sorry you feel so badly, Che. Not fun… The photos of the LOSER fascist Santorum and his disturbing family, however… Superfun! That dorky assed Laura Ingalls crying in the front needs to get a grip. Double loser.

Hope you and Bea feel better. I assume Cleto is in his usual high spirits which always annoys me when I feel like shite. Cleto has his way, though.

Have you ever seen a bigger freak-show than that picture? It cheered me up during my convalescence so I thought I’d share it. I swear I laugh every time I see that demon-boy’s scary eyes. If he were of legal age I’d invite him over for some tequila shots and a Satanic black-mass. Spinning body-parts go over really well at Diabolical orgies.

I still feel like shit, however. My stomach feels like a family of frogs have moved into it. And Bea is none too happy either. Yes, Cleto is the same cheerful little jester but I think Bea is more annoyed with him than I am.

I feel that I should comment on the girl in the back. She looks genuinely defeated. But is it “I can’t believe my daddy lost” or is it “Now I will never escape this freak show. He’ll be home all the time! I have no hope at all!”

And did they travel back in time to get their daughter in front? And why does she have a doll with her?!!

The boy seems to be trying to mesmerize the crowd. Or maybe he is just taking mental note of those who do not seem sad enough. He will find them.

You know, the writer, Dan Savage, tried to coin a new definition for Santorum. He said it was the frothy mass of lube and fecal matter that annoys people during certain sexual acts. I wonder how much that caught on.

I’m just glad the most virulent homophobic throwback is out of the Senate. What a nice thing to happen!

I hope you and Bea recover!

Is it me or is Mr. Santorum actually looking gay and relieved?

Loving warmth to you ailing under-the-weatherness..

  5. Richard the Previous on November 12, 2006 7:19 pm

Ha! As homophobic as he is, I think he would be terrified to find he looks “gay” and relieved.

But he seem to be taking it much better than his family.

Maybe Bas meant happy gay, not queer gay. Though Rick doesn’t look particularly happy either. He just looks sort of prayerful - benevolently fascistic. He wants to shower us all with his benevolent fascism. As long as he doesn’t want to shower us with his ’santorum’. Eeeek.

And R the P is right, the demon boy does look lke he’s trying to mesmerise the audience. He sort of has a Rasputin-esque look about him. Of course, Rasputin was murdered by a cross-dressing Prince and a bunch of the Prince’s queer buddies so one might ponder how far the similarities go.

I prefer the theory that the demon boy has been sipping one too many mojitos of the undead. He’s a big fan of this website. He tries all the recipes.

The wife looks like she forgot to take her valium. She looks as though she’s actually growling. “Grrrrr… Look what you voters have done to my family. My daughters are weeping, my son is addicted to mojitos of the undead, and my husband will be hanging around the house in his underwear all day, watching Touched by an Angel reruns and scratching himself. Damn you… damn you all!”

Some might say its awfully low to make fun of a man’s family. I say, “Yep, thats us”.

I think the mojito of the undead boy and the crying doll carrying girl should have their own television show. It would be like the Addams family, only scary.

I figured Bas meant happy gay, but I would love for Santorum to know that he has been referred to as gay. He would probably try to ban himself.

That photo amazes me — it amazes me that such unabashed emotion was displayed. That is not what you usually see in politico families — but there is much about Santorum you don’t usually see in politico families. The photo also is at the strangest angle. It is as if they were trying to take a picture of the girl, not Santorum. It also off kilter a bit, as if they were about to angle the camera, as if to imply the family were Batman villains from the 60s tv show.

I had such the crush on Burt Ward’s Robin when I was a young ‘un watching that show. I also thought that Batman was an old man! Now, I’m the same age that Adam West was when he was in the show. So of course, he now he looks like a handsome young man to me.

And Che should say nothing about crushes on embarrassing 60s tv stars or I’ll mention a certain Mayberry resident!

I think Mr. Santorum is just living in denial.. He wouldn’t be the first ardent rightwing homophobe to turn out to be gay? Wasn’t there this White House Bush posterboy who went public?

(I think the picture of Mr. Sanctorum will look about the same as above when he does come out!)

  10. che on November 13, 2006 4:12 pm

I don’t know about Rick, but I suspect demon-boy might be gay. Its the sweater-vest that gives it away.

  11. Mojo on November 13, 2006 6:30 pm

Good point about the sweater vest. I think I had one as a kid… but I didn’t buy it, really! I have to be clear on that point. I did NOT buy it. Nevermind that I didn’t buy any of my clothes at the time… and look how I turned out. Not gay at all!

  12. Richard the Previous on November 14, 2006 12:49 am

I love Bas’ coining of Sanctorum. I also laughed out loud at the idea of the picture being a post coming out party.

Research does show that people who make the most homophobic comments are often most aroused by same sex photographs!

  13. Bas on November 14, 2006 2:44 am

If you think about it… Hatred is a weird state of mind! Why do you care to hate something?
Lack of knowledge is a good start. And then being afraid of the unknown. Or is it.. Replaced envy? Unanswered desires?

    I hate philosophy!

    (No i don’t, i just hate the fact i don’t get it.. )

(No i don’t.. But I envy people who do get it!)

    Bas.

When is it bad weather why do people get insane???
I have noticed , that anytime it rains, or there is a freeze, the public panics, rushes out to the stores and buy up all the
bottled water, batteries, flash lights, firelogs, and canned food. Why is this. You would think people that have been through
this kinda weather before would understand that it will not last more than a day or two at the most.
Another thing I have noticed is when it rains that all the dumb people again get on the roads and cause wrecks and everything
    else.
What is wrong with the people? I would really like to know.

Well, I know that down here in the deep south, we live in terror of the monstrous abomination known as the snowflake. Disguised as a mild-manner six-sided ice crystal of supreme beauty and uniqueness, we southerner know that underneath the glittering surface lies a depth of cruelty unrivalled in nature. The evil snowflake exists only to confine us to our homes, cold and starving, or send us careening off the road to our doom. It exists to inflict frostbite, snow-blindness, and influenza. More destructive than a bullet (if the bullet is just lying around doing nothing), and far far sneakier than the tornado, the snowflake is the greatest menace we southerners face.

Now having experienced Katrina firsthand, I have to say I prefer snowflakes to hurricanes, but here in Georgia, that brands me a heretic. Snowflakes - white frosty satan incarnate.

People in the north do not believe me when I tell them that they used to shut down my school (in Georgia) when the weather got below freezing!

Those pipes might burst! And then where’d you be, son? I’ll tell you. Cold and wet with no stopping in sight. That’s where you’d be!

  17. che on December 9, 2006 2:39 pm

Yes, this weekend it got down to 18 degrees!!!! Them pipes’ll bust! Close the schools, git’cher guns, the pipes’ll bust!
