Today is the day that brought to the world the wonderful, exciting, beautiful creature known as Che! What a fantastic day in history this day is. In celebration of Che-Day or Che-Mas, I will recount some of the wonderful ways in which my life is different for having known her.
In the past, we […]

Well, nothing, actually. At least not this year.
Any other year and it would be Che’s birthday, but Che’s birthday is a bit lazy this year and decided not to be the year’s longest day.
I’ll have to come back tomorrow to post about how wonderful Che is. Other wise, happy Che’s Eve.

Margarita Pound Cake
Category: criminal | 4 Comments
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but there are already multiple recipes for a margarita pound cake out on the net!
OK, so this is not a personally tried-and-true recipe, but it sure looks like something I’d like to try! Given that this recipe is shared on another site, I figure it’s only proper to […]

Dreams of fine dining with Che, car troubles, and Friends you don’t see often…
For some reason, I slept poorly last night, the result being that I was awoken in the middle of a dream (which is a rarity). While the poor sleep experience was no fun, the important part was that I remembered a […]

The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Category: criminal | 11 Comments
I just finished a fantastic book. It is called Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and it was written by Mary Roach, a Salon.com columnist.
The book details the various things that dead people have done throughout the millennia. As Roach puts it, cadavers are our super-heroes. You can shoot […]

They also took all the lottery tickets.
At the Train station near my work, there are two little magazine shops. Up until about two week ago, these shops were run by a group of Indian men (one of whom was Oh My God! hot. The others of whom ran the full spectrum of […]

What a beautiful morning! We had dinner last night with two witty and urbane gay men and their three daughters. And now, after a night of wine and witty conversation, we have a clear sky, cool temperatures, and kd lang playing in the background.
What does such a beautiful morning bring to mind? […]

The Last Two Comics I Bought
Category: criminal, fanatical | 6 Comments
I did this once before, so I decided to do it again. I thought I’d post the last two comics I bought. There is a theme if you look closely.
Here is the first one.
And here is the second one.
Now, the theme is very subtle, so you probably won’t realize what it is. […]

Absinthe or Everclear?
Category: criminal | 6 Comments
Really depressing thing in the news today about Absinthe. Apparently it was about as exotic as Everclear. Nothing really psychotropic about it at all.
Apparently they found some really old (like a century) bottles that were had been unopened since before the ban. When they opened them and performed a chemical […]

Strictly no gibbons… unless they’re in my army.

So, it being Sunday an’all, and not a very good day for TV, I found myself watching the History Channel. I can see why Richard enjoys history so much. I watched a show about Stalin’s plan to create an army of monkey-men.
What I don’t understand is why Richard would rather read about pilgrims than […]

Spring has sprung and the cherry trees are in bloom. And you know what that means. Yes, my allergies are exacerbated, but thats not what I’m referring to. I’m talking about the Cherry Blossom Festival. Hooray!
Yep, this is the time of year the entire town goes pink, and not in a good way.
I […]

Che has been appreciating the beauty of Smallville’s version of Brainiac (I mean — who wouldn’t appreciate that beauty? Gotta love ol’ Spike.) She therefore right naturally assumed that the comic book version would be just as beautiful.
Well, not quite. Here, then, is a little history of a character who […]

Websites are like birds - gone south.

After our brief hiatus yesterday, we’re back online.
The migration to our new servers was reasonably quick and relatively painless. Thanks to our lovely hosts for that.
The site seems to be loading slowly this morning, but I’m sure it will improve once the migration is complete.

Okay, sure, I can live with that. Though I was kinda hoping for Sayid, or Dean Winchester.
Now, the following does not surprise me at all. Which Lost character am I?
