I just finished a fantastic book. It is called Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and it was written by Mary Roach, a Salon.com columnist.

The book details the various things that dead people have done throughout the millennia. As Roach puts it, cadavers are our super-heroes. You can shoot ‘em, chop ‘em up, throw ‘em from extreme heights, or use ‘em to practice face lifts and they never complain. They never hurt. They do and do and do for us and never once bitch about the responsibility.

What a beautiful morning! We had dinner last night with two witty and urbane gay men and their three daughters. And now, after a night of wine and witty conversation, we have a clear sky, cool temperatures, and kd lang playing in the background.

What does such a beautiful morning bring to mind? Why, cry-baby Cylons and crappy catnip, of course.

So, it being Sunday an’all, and not a very good day for TV, I found myself watching the History Channel. I can see why Richard enjoys history so much. I watched a show about Stalin’s plan to create an army of monkey-men.

What I don’t understand is why Richard would rather read about pilgrims than about armies of monkey-men.

I’ve done so much work today, that my work-finger has a blister. And thats really bad, considering my work finger is also my play-finger. I finally had to hook the mouse up to my laptop.

Its been vewwy vewwy qwiet today.

Spring has sprung and the cherry trees are in bloom. And you know what that means. Yes, my allergies are exacerbated, but thats not what I’m referring to. I’m talking about the Cherry Blossom Festival. Hooray!
